Days of Goodbyes

This is a book written by a mother about her daughter Maria's painful path towards death, written to help raise awareness of the horrors many young women go through after having been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as help create funds to prevent breast cancer and save lives.

"Days of Goodbyes" is a tribute to every woman we have lost. The emotional pain around every loss is horrendous. And the loss of talent is staggering. They are forgotten by the media like the snowflakes of yesteryear. They are not honored in the news with names and pictures. But we will never forget them. And the proceeds of the book will go to Silent Spring Institute, dedicated to identifying - and changing - links between the environment and women's health, especially breast cancer.

Maria and her family experience all of the emotions from horror to hope, and we follow Maria through her 5 years of a struggle to survive while hope becomes smaller and smaller - like a light disappearing in the dark.
